Onboarding and offboarding

Checklists that close because the work closed.

Day-one access, equipment, tax forms, and a first-week plan should not depend on whoever remembered the wiki. Offboarding is the same problem in reverse.

Why it matters

A start date should trigger work with owners. A last day should trigger collection, access cuts, and a file you still own. The remaining-work view is how you see what is still open.

Staffquorum checklists have owners by role: manager, IT, people ops, the employee. Due dates follow the start date or last day. Tasks do not disappear into email. When the work is done, the checklist closes — not when someone archives a thread.

On the record

What you get in Staffquorum.

  • Hire and separation checklists on the employee file.
  • Task owners you can name by role.
  • Due dates that move with start date or last day.
  • A remaining-work view so nothing hides in a mailbox.
  • The record stays after someone leaves. The access does not.

How it runs

A week in this workflow.

  1. 01

    Set the date

Start date or last day writes to the record. The checklist appears with owners already assigned.

  2. 02

    Do the work

IT, the manager, people ops, and the employee each see their tasks. Nothing is “someone else’s email.”

  3. 03

    Close the list

Open items stay visible until they are done. The file keeps the history.

Who uses it

Built for the jobs you already have.

First weeks that used to slip

Laptop, accounts, tax forms, and a first 1:1. If any of those miss, the checklist still shows it.

Last days that used to leak access

Collect the badge, cut the accounts, keep the personnel file. Offboarding is a list, not a rumor.
