Onboarding workflows

Task checklists and reminders — not a second project tool.

Hire checklists assign work. Reminders fire when a task is due or late. That is the workflow: a list, an owner, a nudge. Not a full automation suite.

Why it matters

When Jordan starts Monday, IT, the manager, people ops, and Jordan each see their tasks. A reminder hits before the due date — you do not rebuild the wiki from memory.

Staffquorum onboarding workflows are the running of the hire checklist. Tasks have owners by role. Due dates follow the start date. Reminders go to the owner when work is coming due or already late. The remaining-work view is the same list as onboarding and offboarding. The last-day list itself lives on offboarding. This is not a custom automation builder: no branching flows, no integration marketplace, no campaign engine. You get checklists and reminders on the employee file. Packets to sign still live on e-sign.

Reminder

Nudge sent to IT · badge still open. Checklists and reminders — not a branching automation builder.

On the record

What you get in Staffquorum.

  • Task checklists on the hire — same file as onboarding and offboarding.
  • Owners by role: manager, IT, people ops, the employee.
  • Reminders when a task is due or late — not a hope someone checks email.
  • Remaining-work view so open items stay visible.
  • Employees see their tasks on Me, next to packets still open.
  • Not a full automation suite: no custom triggers, no branching builder, no integration marketplace.

How it runs

A week in this workflow.

  1. 01

The start date writes the list

The hire checklist appears with owners already assigned. Due dates move with the start date.

  2. 02

    Reminders hit the owner

A task coming due — or already late — nudges the person who owns it. Nothing depends on a hallway reminder.

  3. 03

    Close the work

Open items stay visible until they are done. The file keeps the history. The list closes because the work closed.

Who uses it

Built for the jobs you already have.

First weeks that used to slip

Laptop, accounts, tax forms, and a first 1:1. If IT misses the badge, the reminder is still on the list — not in Elena’s head.

People ops covering the desk alone

One operator, three starts this month. The remaining-work view is how they see what is still open without a side spreadsheet.
